New City School is a bustling place from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.! For information about early care, extended day or camps, please contact Tobie Taylor-Hudson, Director of Extended Day and Camps, at ttaylor-hudson@newcityschool.org or 361-CAMP (361-2267). Early care is available free of charge from 7:00 a.m. until school starts at 8:30. After school, New City School students are in the care of experienced staff members from 3:30 until as late as 6:00 p.m. for an additional fee. In extended day, children have a snack, play outside,do homework, play games, read stories and have fun with friends. Talents Classes are offered after school and have included things like dance, quilting, ceramics, karate, fencing and improv comedy. In addition, piano, drum and string instrument lessons are offered at school. Fees for classes and lessons vary. Extended Day Fees: Every day 3:30pm to 6:00pm $275 per month Every day 3:30pm to 5:00pm $245 per month (Additional fee for 1:30 - 3:30 in the 3/4 year old class) Drop-in rate: $3.00 every fifteen minutes from 3:45 - 6:00 pm. In addition to early care and extended day, for an additional fee, camps are available for Spring Break (the last two weeks of March) and for Winter Break (two weeks over the holidays in December and January). On in-service and conference days when school is not in session, families can sign up for "No School At School" for some or all of the days for an additional fee.
